Winter Tablescape

A little late on the blog but we wanted to share with you the
awesome photography of Beth Erisman as she inspired us to create a
winter tablescape to show our rental pieces and floral design.

Winter Mantle Design

Using pomegranates and dried orange slices in freshly cut greens
gave a natural earthy feel to the mantle. Drying the orange slices is easy and makes your house smell wonderful! Be creative...what do you
have outside to incorporate as you decorate your house?

custom made pillows by AshleyMorgan on Etsy were
the perfect addition to our "sweetheart" bench

A hot chocolate bar is the perfect addition for
your guests at your winter wedding, shower, or party!

our chippy white dresser "Amelia" is the perfect
addition to a party, she adapts as cake table, dessert bar,
hot chocolate bar... the options are endless.

Thanks for taking a moment to view our inspiration!
Lots of ideas coming from Burlap & Blooms, stay  tuned.

D.I.Y Covering old books.....

Here is a fun and EASY way to add a little something special to either a wedding, shower, or for your own house decor.

Supplies Needed: Old books (thrift stores, yard sales, or from your own library) Wrapping paper, fabric, scissors, tape, twine (you can even use ribbon or decorative gimp). Always look around your house first before you go out and buy something for a project.

Step 1: Cut paper to the size of your book

Step 2: Fold in edges just like you are wrapping a present.

And ta-da! Its that easy. We would love to see our readers take on our DIY projects, so if you do please share on instagram using #burlapandbloomsdiy

Hope you enjoyed,
Ali and Ashley

Adam & Kimberly's Wedding

When you bring together a couple like Adam and Kimberly and their love for the outdoors, combined with a venue like Tyler Arboretum , a beautiful wedding was bound to occur.  With the use of earthy tones and organic textures a charming, rustic wedding unfolded.  Multiple shades of grey, pops of oranges, and burlap accents were used throughout the design. Their vision came together so perfectly that we are thrilled to share it with you...

Unique use of a vintage shutter and frame created the personalized seating chart (above) and special moment of the brides arrival down the aisle (below).

Guests fell in love with the couples adorable son as he escorted the flower girls down the aisle.

We knew that the couple wanted their ceremony backdrop to make a statement. The hand crafted design, exposed hinges, and the detailed writing made this back drop a very unique piece of art made with love.

Ranunculus', spray roses, dahlias, standard roses, and garden roses were used throughout the bouquets and boutonnieres.

The reception patio was decorated with grey linens and accented with burlap table runners.  The table decor consisted of terrariums displayed on stacks of vintage books and custom made  gold table numbers.  The bistro lighting lit up the tent and created a warm inviting feel throughout the night.

Our chippy white sweetheart table with parlor chairs created a cozy spot for the bride and groom.  A custom Mr & Mrs burlap bunting made this setting very charming (above). The stunning cake complimented our white and gold antique dresser (below).

Thank you for making Burlap & Blooms a part of your special day.
