Adam & Kimberly's Wedding

When you bring together a couple like Adam and Kimberly and their love for the outdoors, combined with a venue like Tyler Arboretum , a beautiful wedding was bound to occur.  With the use of earthy tones and organic textures a charming, rustic wedding unfolded.  Multiple shades of grey, pops of oranges, and burlap accents were used throughout the design. Their vision came together so perfectly that we are thrilled to share it with you...

Unique use of a vintage shutter and frame created the personalized seating chart (above) and special moment of the brides arrival down the aisle (below).

Guests fell in love with the couples adorable son as he escorted the flower girls down the aisle.

We knew that the couple wanted their ceremony backdrop to make a statement. The hand crafted design, exposed hinges, and the detailed writing made this back drop a very unique piece of art made with love.

Ranunculus', spray roses, dahlias, standard roses, and garden roses were used throughout the bouquets and boutonnieres.

The reception patio was decorated with grey linens and accented with burlap table runners.  The table decor consisted of terrariums displayed on stacks of vintage books and custom made  gold table numbers.  The bistro lighting lit up the tent and created a warm inviting feel throughout the night.

Our chippy white sweetheart table with parlor chairs created a cozy spot for the bride and groom.  A custom Mr & Mrs burlap bunting made this setting very charming (above). The stunning cake complimented our white and gold antique dresser (below).

Thank you for making Burlap & Blooms a part of your special day.

Where it all began...

Our first post here at Burlap & Blooms is to share with you our personal experiences through our own weddings. These two days gave us the inspiration to create this business and design weddings. Its all about the little details.

I always dreamed of getting married at the farmhouse I grew up in, it was just beautiful the way the day unfolded. Surrounded by our closest family and friends we had a night to remember full of lots of love and dancing...we had a rocking band! I always loved the color yellow and the bright colors with the flowers gave the perfect pop for the outdoor summer wedding. Its important to let your personality shine through your wedding day, its all about the little details. My father was a blacksmith so in his memory we included some equine touches.  Our guests took home one of my fathers horseshoes as a favor to hang above their doors and bring good luck to their home.  It was just magical all around.

The way I love to describe my wedding is "Rustic Lovin". My husband and I said our "I do's" in his childhood back yard with our closest family and friends. Once I saw my ideas come together, I realized this was my passion. I chose wild flowers that I used all through out our space. I used white hydrangeas for all of the bouquets. My favorite piece was a table I made with my grandfather out of an old door. I couldn't of asked for a more perfect day!
